Treatment Modalities
These treatment modalities will be used during your animal's treatment sessions. When used in conjunction with each other, they allow your animal's body to heal or function correctly to allow them to achieve the fastest rate of recovery or sporting performance that their body is able to achieve.

Massage and Myofascial Release
Myofacial release is a technique that is used to aid in the removal of restrictions caused by dysfunction in fascia tissue. Fascia is a web-like tissue that covers, supports and lubricates every tissue throughout the body to allow cohesive movement. If there is restriction or dysfunction this can affect the body's ability to perform correctly.

Massage therapy is used to improve muscle function, reduce muscular dysfunction and improve blood and lymph flow/function.

Massage techniques include:
-
Effleurage
-
Cross-fibre friction
-
Deep digital compression
-
Compression
-
Tapotement
-
Trigger point therapy

Electrotherapy
Electrotherapy is performed using electronic devices that are specifically designed for therapeutic purposes. Each different electrotherapy will cause the body to have different responses. These different responses can improve neurological and musculoskeletal function/performance. They can be used as an alternative to chemical pain relief which helps to prolong healthy kidney function.

Electrotherapies that I can offer:
-
Pulse Mag (PEMFT)
-
Therapeutic Laser
-
Therapeutic Ultrasound
-
Thermotherapy (Epiony Heat Pad)

Remedial Exercise
Remedial exercise is a way to improve either muscular, skeletal, neurological or sporting functionality and performance. If used in conjunction with all of the other modalities it can help to fast track your animal's road to recovery or sporting success.
I will create a full and completely individual remedial exercise plan which includes many different exercises and working with other professionals within the industry to ensure that your animal gets the care that they need and achieve the goals we want to achieve together.
