Discover what services HJVP provides and what they include.

During treatment sessions, HJVP will use a wide range of treatment techniques, a completely tailored rehabilitation plan and electrotherapies that will aim to give your animal the best possible chance at recovery; helping them to feel like themselves again. 

During treatment sessions, HJVP will use a wide range of tools to provide your animal with a top level of care. 

These tools include:

 

  •  Massage Therapy (effluerage, cross-fibre, compression, tapotement, deep digital compression, cross-fibre friction).

  • Myofascial Release - a treatment technique used to reduce/remove fascial restrictions.

  • Trigger point therapy - a treatment technique used to remove focal points of tension found in the bodies of muscle.

  • Electrotherapies - treatment provided using pieces of electrotherapeutic equipment including therapeutic laser, PulseMag, therapeutic ultrasound and an electric heat pad (Epiony).

  • Cryo and thermo therapy - the application of heat pads and cool packs for therapeutic benefit.

  • Tailored rehabilitation and prehabilitation plans - treatment and exercise plans to aid or prevent injury.

Fuel charges (53p per mile) apply if the patient is located over 5 miles outside of Wells, Somerset.

Initial Consultation and Treatment (Equine)

This is how we start your horse's road to recovery. HJVP will perform a full assessment of your horse and then treat them accordingly. The assessment process includes a full range of motion, palpation, and dynamic and static assessments. This will allow HJVP to gain a full understanding of how your horse's issue is affecting their body. Based on this knowledge and your horse's individual case history HJVP will treat your horse and provide you with a treatment/rehabilitation plan.

Ongoing Appointment
(Equine)

These sessions occur after your horse's initial consultation and treatment. During these sessions, HJVP will treat your horse based on the original treatment plan; HJVP will also constantly re-assess your horse in accordance with how they respond to treatment; this allows HJVP to update the treatment plan and how they treat your horse during each individual session.

This is how we start your dog's road to recovery. HJVP will perform a full assessment of your dog and then treat them accordingly. During these sessions, HJVP will treat your dog based on the original treatment plan; HJVP will also constantly re-assess your dog in accordance with how they respond to treatment; this allows HJVP to update the treatment plan and how they treat your horse during each individual session.

Cat Eyes

Cats (feline)

These sessions consist of the same assessment and treatment processes with the adequate adjustments needed to cater to cats, their needs and behaviour.

Initial Appointment Price: £35

Ongoing Appointment Price: £30

Farm Animals

These sessions consist of the same assessment and treatment processes with the adequate adjustments needed to cater to farm animals such as cattle, sheep, alpacas and lamas.

Initial Appointment Price: £55

Cattle at Sunrise

Session Policies

 

  • If the client cancels within the 24-hour-period before the session is due to take place, they will be charged 50% of the total cost of the session.

  • If the client wishes to change the appointment date within the 24-hour-period before the session is due to take place, the client will be charged 25% of the total cost of the session. 

  • If the client fails to pay the total cost of the session 14 days after the session took place then they will be contacted by HJVP and an additional 25% of the total session cost will be added to the amount owed (late payment fee).

  • If the client fails to pay the total cost of the session, plus the late payment fee, 30 days after the session took place then HJVP will contact them. An additional 50% of the total session cost will be added to the total session cost that is owed.

  • If the client fails to pay the total cost of the session, plus the late payment fee, after an additional 7 days then the client will be informed by HJVP that legal action will be taken.
